Recorded description

For any commutative-ring record R and any Nat-by-Nat matrix A valued in R's carrier, the generic cofactor-recursion determinant detR R 1 A equals A's (0,0) entry; instantiated at Rat's own CommRing record, detR R 1 A is definitionally equal to Rat.det A 1 at a symbolic matrix A, even though the two are independently-built Nat.rec recursions.

Formal statement
theorem Alg.commRingDetOne : ((x0 : Alg.CommRing) -> ((x1 : ((x1 : AxNat) -> ((x2 : AxNat) -> Alg.CommRing.carrier x0))) -> Eq.{1} (Alg.CommRing.carrier x0) (Alg.detR x0 (AxNat.succ AxNat.zero) x1) (x1 AxNat.zero AxNat.zero)))

Supports: Alg.commRingDetOne admits through the trusted kernel gate and, applied at Rat.commRing (a CommRing instance built independently of Rat.field, from the same underlying Rat.* lemma constants) closed over a symbolic matrix A, type-checks -- `detR R 1 A` (the generic cofactor recursion, Nat.rec with a function-typed motive since the recursive call is at a different matrix, the same device Rat.det's own module doc names) reduces via iota/beta with no law needed to `add zero (mul one (mul (A 0 0) one))`, and the proof bridges that to `A 0 0` via mulOneR, mulOneL and a derived addZero-left.

Checker command
out=$(cargo test -p axeyum-lean-kernel --lib -- comm_ring_det_one_instantiates_at_rat_and_the_agreement_with_rat_det_is_measured --nocapture --test-threads=1 2>&1) && test "$(printf "%s\n" "$out"| grep -cE 'test result: ok\. 1 passed; 0 failed')" -ge 1
Evidence notes

The pattern is anchored on cargo's own pass/fail summary line with BOTH counts pinned ('1 passed; 0 failed').

Supports: THE PAYOFF MEASUREMENT: `detR(Rat.commRing, 1, A) def_eq Rat.det(A, 1)` at a SYMBOLIC A is TRUE -- measured, not assumed. ADR-1578's own text flagged this as an open question in advance, citing the Nat.multichoose 'two independently-built Nat.rec instances' boundary (docs/contributor-guide/kernel-proof-engineering.md) that usually makes such a pair NOT def_eq even when they compute the same value at every concrete input. Here they agree because every selector the n=1 unfolding touches (add/mul/zero/one via Rat.commRing's own fields) is literally Rat.add/Rat.mul/Rat.zero/Rat.one, so both sides reduce to the identical normal form.

Checker command
out=$(cargo test -p axeyum-lean-kernel --lib -- comm_ring_det_one_instantiates_at_rat_and_the_agreement_with_rat_det_is_measured --nocapture --test-threads=1 2>&1) && test "$(printf "%s\n" "$out"| grep -cE 'at a symbolic A = true')" -ge 1
Evidence notes

Anchored on the literal 'true' the test prints for this specific measurement, so a flipped boolean (a def_eq that started returning false) breaks the pattern; the mutation check confirmed 'true'->'false' does not survive.
